The Independence Rocking Chair is made from 50 pounds of 100% Brazilian Cherry (Jatoba). It is eco-friendly and sustainably harvested on a family-owned plantation in Brazil. We use high-quality, exterior grade hardware, and mortise and tenon construction to ensure a lifetime of use. The Independence Rocking Chair features a high, contoured back and mesa-style, wide double headrest. It is beautifully proportioned, with comfortable, solid arms, and contoured seat slats. The back posts are cut with an angle that makes the chair incredibly comfortable. The headrest and back slats are contoured from left to right for comfort as well. Runners and posts are thick, and there is an attractive side slat on each side that covers the seat slats as viewed from the side.
