Ordered rocker recliner from Home and Living because 1. I wanted a recliner and 2. with a baby on the way me and my wife could use it to relax and rock the baby while we watched TV. Could not find one review on the chair however it is everywhere on the net being sold. The chair looks as it does in the picture and actually has a more appealing color than our $2500 leather sectional. I paid $521.00 w/ free shipping. It did take 5-6 days for processing before shipping as it clearly stated when ordering. I contacted the seller and they responded promply w/ my answer to shipping. It came Fed Ex carrier today and I just happened to be off. The carrier called before delivering. The Fed Ex guy was great and got it off the truck and dollied it up to the house and was willing to help me bring it in. I declined the help and did it my self because I wanted to remove the packing outside. Now on to the packing. The recliner is in 2 piece w/ the back removed. The chair was wrapped in furniture wrap tightly and sealed in a box that was sealed in another box that had additional cardboard and foam protecting it. The outer box was beat up but the chair was completely protected w/ the additional padding. The chair was light enough for me to move w/ ease. I set it up by attaching the back to the rails on the base and good to go. The pading was a little depressed from the packing in certain areas but eventually sprung back exept in one area. The left arm rest had kind of a sunken pad that hasn’t sprung back in the 3 hours since it was delivered. Disappointing thus far! THe padding in the arms seems like that thin 1/2 inch cheap yellow stuff you might use under your sleeping bag when camping. However the backing and seat area were a different story. The seat was surprisingly firm. At first I thought it was too firm but after time I would rather it be firm than sunken and bottomed out. The back was fluffy and comfortable. The recliner feature is fine but requires a little lifting of the leg rest to get it completely upright. It kind of goes 3/4 up and stops which is good for sitting more upright. Otherwise the mechanism was easy to release and lock in place. However, my 8 month pregnant wife had some difficulty putting the leg rest back down, but I thought it was easy. The bonded leather is ok but I will baby it as it seems too thin to handle heavy abuse like real leather. I will cover the seat when not using it as to not allow my dogs on it as I don’t think it could handle their nails. There was a few areas that didn’t match up such as the back flap was stitched a little too far over to the right and it made an open space on the left side. Also, I think the rails that attached the back to the base were a little off as I could see a small gap on the bottom left side of the chair between the arm rest and the back piece that I could see through to behind the chair when looking at it from the front. Overall, it wasn’t enough to bother me though. After buying the chair I did notice it was selling for about $35 less than I spent w/ free shipping. Kind of pissed me off. The biggest reason I bought over the net was 1. I’m too lazy to go to the store and 2. I needed 6 months zero financing with my amazon store card. It’s a big risk that could be disasterous but this experience was really not that bad. I do think a price of $349 or less would be more accurate to what the quality of the product really is. For $500 plus everything should line up perfectly. Hopefully, in a year everything will be as good as today! Only time will tell.
